Youch!

My head hurts.

IMG_0826.JPGYesterday we had a very intense day getting the lie of the land and firmly ensconcing ourselves in the Salle de Jean Cocteau to watch short films.  This is the life.  It's hard to believe that there is such a passionate audience for the film short film discipline.

Twelve films in and we're starting to get a handle on the way the festival works and how to pick what we want to see.  We met some great people last night who are here for a pitching session that takes place today.

I'm going to stop writing now because I'm so hungover this barely makes sense.  Have a look at the photos on Flickr.

Loved the photos, thanks for posting all these updates!

Another stupid question from me I guess, but in those pics there are DOG BONES on the ceiling and pics of dogs etc LOL freaky coincidence no? or was this a party y'all sponsored to help promote the film ?(though I image thats premature and very expensive)

we are still working on the script so it's a bit early for us to be shelling out for parties, plus this film is a short so it won't be having any parties to promote it.

The dog stuff is pure coincidence. This year they have a special themed category dedicated to films about man's best friend so there is a lot of dog stuff all over the place.

OMG there's a dog(?) hanging on the wall in one of your Clermont-Ferrand pictures (on Flickr).. Now that' what I call creative thinking... though I'm still not sure if that's a dog... what is it exactly?

P.S. I'm sorry for asking that question, but I just saw a post on imdb that looked like a cry for help, so I felt like I had to.. err...find some help:

"Help people! ok this has just been bugging me! but you know the hallam foe podcast four is it stephen daldry filming jamie when he's looking for his cleanser? he says camera reload and sounds just like him......"

I myself thought it was Colin Kennedy all the way.. but I might be wrong..

Btw I've noticed that so many people got really concerned about that cleanser of Jamie's. The cleanser kinda became a star. Everyone who saw the podcasts loved the cleanser episode. Such a pity that it was found so fast.. it could've become an interesting storyline for a spin-off... In Search Of the Cleanser or smth like that.. Well maybe I shouldn't have drunk too much coffie in the evening... Too much coffie makes me high. Sorry, just ignore this message LOL

It was definitely me, not Stephen. I really wasn't sure whether or not to include that stuff, I ver nearly ditched it so I'm delighted people like it.

The plaque on the wall, if that's what you're referring to, is a dog's bum. I thought it was great too.

Oh thank you, now everything is absolutely clear :)

So the bum wasn just a decorative thing... I thought it might be something useful like a hat maybe. All in all it's winter now...
