Presents and everything

This truly is the sign of things beginning to wind down.

Today we are having a farewell lunch for our 1st Asst Editor, so put your hands together ladies and gentlemen for the one and only - Mr Giles Burgess.

Woo! (Rapturous applause abounds)

Giles Burgess, 1st Asst Editor

Here's a wee goodbye speech from the man himself:

So long. Hallam Foe has been a very enjoyable experience, thanks to everyone. However, I have been away for 16 months now and am looking forward to getting home and reaquainting myself with my partner and children. Cheers Giles.

So Giles leaves the family Foe for the family proper. So long to you too chum. x

Hee-hee-haw-ha, oh dear, hah!

As the production department begins to draw all it's loose ends together ready to deliver the film (not long now!) the publicity department begins to gird it's loins, grit it's teeth, light the touch paper and explode. 'Explode' is, of course, about the most misleading term I could have chosen. 'Calculated crescendo' would be more accurate.

Already there are terms like 'junket' being bandied about, all quiet whispers at the moment but believe me, this will escalate.

And I have a part to play in this aspect of the life of Hallam Foe. We have acquired a lot of material other than just the movie - most notably stills, EPK, 'making of' footage, props, deleted scenes blah blah - and the blog will play an important part of getting this stuff into the outside world. Who would have thought our humble little blog would have reached such dizzy heights? Very exciting.

One of the things I am engaged in at the moment is trawling my archicves for stuff that I think is amusing and might be interesting to people outside of the crew. I'm not about to ram nostalgia down your throat, not without good reason anyway.

So hear is a little video clip I found that I think is very funny, and might prove mildly amusing to people outside of the family Foe...
