Have You Seen Hallam Foe?
If not, now's your chance.
We are having a screening for bloggers mainly but a rumour is circulating that we may have a few tickets for die-hard fans of the movie who have been following the blog.
I'll know more about this over the coming days so I'll keep you posted with what's happening, but, in the meantime feel free to state your case as to why you deserve a golden ticket over and above anyone else.
You can also go check out the new site BVI have designed as part of the promo for the release of the film in the UK.

Before the shameless groveling commences, are there any restrictions in the sense of like is this opportunity open to all readers who reside elsewhere than the UK, but may be about in your country during the time frame of the screening?
CK
The real criteria is that people should have a blog which I know you do. If you're going to be in London next week let me know and I shall pass on your details to those in the know.

Just before I start ranting about why I should have a ticket, do I need to be over 18 to even be able to have a chance of getting it?
CK
I'm afraid the movie is rated 18 so that obviously precludes anyone under 18. Sorry.

Hi Colin
Well, I've already seen the movie so I'm probably out of the competition. And anyway I feel more than awful if I need to prove I deserve something over someone else.. On the other hand it would be interesting to know where is that screening gonna be and when.. just in case I'll be accidentally passing by..

O btw I'm loving this new background colour! And the top of the page. Though perhaps I'll be missing the rooftops a little bit..

I think everyone should be able to, the book was AWSOME!!!!!!! I probably wouldn't, I don't live there.

I'd love to be able to see the movie, however, not living in the UK is of course not really in my advantage, so maybe it would be wiser for me to wait for the international release of the movie...
CK
Sorry mate, it's a London screening.

Where is the screening going to be and when?
CK
The screening will be in London next week.

I know I shouldn't grovel, but just in the case of not knowing if it is open to US residents I'm going too. I love this movie, and I haven't even seen it. I've been friends with the myspace profiles since the beginning, participated in all kinds of things on here, and promote this movie out my ass. I've convinced my friends to read the book that i've been passing around and have got them interested in the film. I know I haven't been around lately but hey, busy, but not busy enough to turn down a ticket! Now Colin, if you were going for a humble person then, everything you've read now doesn't exist and you I believe everyone should get a ticket, later dude, Jeremy

I'm afraid the screening is London, so if you are going to be here then I'll pass your name on to the powers that be and we'll be in touch over the next couple of days. I believe you will be in the States though? Let me know.

Mmmmm how to effectively grovel and win points towards a ticket . . . . .How about this. I am now a "blogger" and all because of the Foe blog. When I stumbled upon the Foe blog (and I do mean stumbled - I was looking up D Mackenzie films having just seen YAdam) I had no idea what a blog was. I quickly learned - The rest is history. I spend a lot of space on my blog writing about film (me & half the blogging world). So my groveling point is that the Foe blog has made me what I am today! How silly (daft) does that sound?!

I think that sounds like a pretty good reason for coming along.
I have of course noticed that you comment here quite a bit too so I shall put your request to the powers that be and I have your email address so I'll be in touch.

If by 'Bloggers' you mean people that leave comments on this loverly site, does that count people who were one of the original blogger peeps back in the early days of 'get your people' but alas recently had to reduce the amount of blog action do to the pesky task of having to finish a degree but who are definitely diehard fans of the film and are desperate to see it as soon as is physically possible and live in london??? (i.e me) :D
If not then who should I bribe with cash or such like?
CK
We are really looking at people who have a blog they write on a regular basis because we're trying to get the word out about the film. But we could have a few spaces extra which is why I put it on the blog so there could be a chance for some of the loyal followers of the blog to come along too. I think what we'll probably end up doing in the end is bunging names in a hat.
I have your email address so I shall pass it on to those in a position to say 'yay' or 'nay' and we'll be in touch.

Oh you should've started from telling the MAIN details...
Do I have a blog? YES. It's in Russian, but believe me it is a blog.
Do I blog about DM and HF? YES and YES.
Am I gonna be in London next week? NO, I'm not going to London until August. - Life sucks. lol
Helge.

I think I deserve a ticket as I was one of Hallam's first pals, back in the days when he was just a scruffy smelly creepy wee guy who needed a hairwash, instead of the super-cool somebody he is now who's friends with Franz Ferdinand. I'm one of his top pals on Myspace and vice versa. I was the one who's only sentient comment on the script was "Opera? why's a lassie like her listenin tae Opera?". I read the book and didn't make any comments on the differences, though I did ask when the movie tie in would come out. I do have a blog though I only write in it once a month to make my life sound waaaay exciting (actually it's not bad). And of course, to top all that, I live in Glesga so I won't be able to go anyway. Pish.

Last week my doctor told me there’s a big chance someone dies suddenly. So I became scared to death I wouldn’t pull through till august 31st.
I‘m sure that if I get to know Hallam Foe sooner, I’ll see life differently. The boy seems to be so vital and always coming to terms with troubled journies. And I think that finally, he's a good lad at heart.
Colin, hopefully you don’t consider this as a weird way to talk myself into the London screening. And as a loyal participator to the blog since the very beginning - being still alive and kicking for the moment - I promise you to keep on promoting the film vigorously.
CK
Hi Philip,
Well that sounds like a good enough reason to me. I'll pass on your name and details. Fingers crossed you make to then.
