Great news, although it seems a long time to wait! But that means we can keep our fingers crossed for a UK premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival earlier in August!

I've been tracking news about this film for around two years and I am really looking forward to seeing it!

Ooo exciting stuff! Does that mean the premiere will be at the EIFF and we might be able to see it?! :)

I just love it when you can start piecing together what you are going to see in Edinburgh in August :)

Oh yes, at last! The date is confirmed!
What a relief!!

Though I must say that the next time I'm gonna trust imdb.com information utterly and completely - just to avoid thumb twiddling..

Hurrah! Congratulations on your forthcoming date of birth, um, well you know what I mean.

Any chance the film will be at Edinburgh in August as well?

Thanks Colin! I know a lot of different factors go into setting a release date, but on a purely selfish level this means we all have a long haul through summer before we get to see it.

I was hoping it would come out a little earlier in the summer movie season, perhaps as counter-programming for all the big, mindless blockbusters. On the other hand, if it does well, a late summer release might set it up better for awards season. Hmmmm.

Well, glad it's finally settled at any rate.

Hi Colin,

Glad there's finally a release date - finally knowing should be a relief for you! Does this mean it'll miss the Edinburgh Film Festival? :-(

Praise the Lord!

I am willing to travel a good 50 miles to see this in Cardiff if it doesn't come closer.

Cheers guys.

Now that I have finished reading the novel, waiting for this to get to Pennsylvania will be even worse.

Any idea when it'll be released in Australia? :)

Well, like the others in the states stated above - oh, we've got a long wait ahead! Sigh.
