Happy 2007

T048749A.jpg

The new year is finally with us and by now (unless you were exceptionally debauched) the hangovers should have been consigned to the past and the new year should be well under way.

I have started my working new year today having returned from the Scottish highlands after a mix of amazing food (lobsters, chateaubriand, hams, roast lamb, langoustines, borscht, roast turkey, wonderful stroganoff etc etc etc) and drink (malt whisky, ancient port, Zubrowka, champagne, cheap lager, Sambucca and enough of each to make one feel a little queezey) to the comparatively serene environs of office life and the oppotunities of 2007.

I hope you all had an equally restorative festive time and wish you all the best for the year ahead.

Colin

Colin,

It's 2007. Environed you ‘ll be with many foes!
I rather wish you foes than hallow friends …
(Adapted from Shakespeare, King Henry VI, part III).

May HF bring you more joy than you could wish!

Happy New Year! and yum...what a wonderfully delicious menu! Random question again LOL I've wanted to try to those Langoustines, but they are a fortune here in the states-are they always available year round or is it a seasonal thing? I'm hoping to try some this year when I go to Scotland this summer.

Any chance that the film will be released in America? If so, do you know the release date? It will most likely be a limited release right?

Thanks for blogging Colin....I've just found this site too late =0(

Helge - Happy B'day to you, have a good'un.

Phygent - cheers pal, definitely the most erudite well-wishing we've had to date on the blog. Although I also liked the 'lang may yer lum reek' comment.

Sue - so far as I'm aware langoustines are available pretty much all year round but I generally associate them with summer. I think it might be wise to check a more reliable source then me though.

Colin - I would love a drink, give me a buzz.

Ben - release dates are still a little hazy at the moment and I don't know what kind of release the film will get in the States.

I'm delighted you like the blog, sorry I can't be a bit more helpful on the dates but I'll post the info as soon as I have it.
